Umpire Corner
How: Email the chief umpire at chiefumpire@arnoldathletic.com or simply show up to the first class
Requirements:
- All boys and girls who have turned 14 by March 31st, 2024 are eligible to become umpires
- First year umpires must attend all indoor classes and 2 outdoor classes in March
- All umpires will be required to purchase 2 umpire shirts and an umpire hat. A black belt, black shoes and grey pants are also required. A clicker, brush and ball bag will be provided for those who complete the training
- All umpires must pass the umpire test in order to work games
- Have an email account that you can check daily
- Although not required, it is recommended that any new umps have baseball/softball playing experience and a general understanding of baseball/softball rules
